Both. Some work stations will involve students in collaborative tasks, and these stations will have students grouped heterogeneously. At other stations, the purpose will be for students to practice skills that have been taught in whole and small group and almost mastered. This work will be differentiated to meet the needs of the students.

Are students in the low group treated like a "buzzard" all day or are they given the choice to try more challenging tasks and work with peers in workstations?
